Dennis Goossen has been working in public accounting since 2015. He is experienced in both Canadian and US tax issues as well as financial statement preparation and business consulting. He loves travelling and volunteering. He and his wife Audrey are proud foster and adoptive parents.
Dennis has been active in overseas missionary and humanitarian work since 2007 with his charity Helping Hands Microfinance Inc. (www.helpinghandsmicrofinance.ca). This exposure has given him a breadth of experience that positions him to offer quality service to international NGO's.
In 2023, my family and I moved to Cimarron to be closer to my wife’s family, and we’ve fallen in love with the small-town way of life and the vibrant community at our local church. Since 2008, I’ve been providing accounting services to small towns just like ours, helping local businesses, nonprofits, and individuals thrive. I understand the unique challenges and opportunities of small-town living, and my approach is tailored to meet those needs. At Goossen CPA, we offer more than just accounting—we provide personalized, relationship-based service that supports the heartbeat of our community. Whether you’re seeking bookkeeping, tax preparation, or business advice, you can trust that my years of experience and dedication to integrity will guide you to success.
I dedicate several hours each month to Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to stay up-to-date on the ever-changing world of tax and legal requirements. My expertise spans USA and international tax laws, state and local taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, and broader business compliance issues. This commitment to ongoing education ensures my clients receive accurate, timely advice and avoid costly errors. Whether you’re a nonprofit navigating grant compliance or a business owner juggling multiple regulatory requirements, I provide practical, detail-oriented solutions that let you focus on growing your organization with confidence.
As someone educated in Canada and who ran my practice there from 2008 to 2018 before moving to the USA, I bring a unique perspective to cross-border tax preparation. I understand the complexities of both countries’ tax systems and the challenges faced by individuals and businesses operating in both the USA and Canada. Finding an accountant with deep expertise in both jurisdictions is rare, but at Goossen CPA, this is exactly what I offer. Whether it’s navigating dual citizenship tax requirements, optimizing tax liabilities across borders, or providing strategic planning advice, I am passionate about helping clients thrive on both sides of the border. My love for Canada and my growing roots in the USA inspire me to provide personalized service that bridges the gap between these two great nations.
